The small El Tundo nature reserve, located not far from the mountainous Peruvian border, boasts a rich biodiversity and is well known for the variety of native birds that call it home - but it is also home to the community of small-scale coffee producers behind this fantastic coffee.  Coffee has been grown in El Tundo for over 30 years, along with plantain and tropical fruit - an ongoing pursuit of balance between sustainable economic progress for the community and respect of its unique environment.  El Tundo is a traditionally washed coffee with a sweet and smooth body of red grape and caramel - and a crisp apple finish.
