Colombia El Tablón
Tablón de Gómez, or El Tablón as it is known in the region, lies in the eastern highlands of the Narino department of Colombia, and is home to the indignenous Inga community. This is a relatively new region for coffee production - with jungle covered hills rising above it in all directions - most of the producers are growing their coffee at 1900 masl. or higher, shaded by Guamo, Leucaena and Plantain trees. The beans are fully washed and dried in the sun - and in the cup yield bright splashes of orange zest and apple sweetness - with a silky vanilla body. Verrryy tasty.
